Female Founded: Pineapple Collaborative
Pantry staples, made by women, that you need in the cupboard now.
If you are looking to add female founded products to your pantry, look no further.
We are excited to share a “where are they now” style update on female founders who spoke at past Rebelle Con events, our boutique conference experience, coming back this November.
In 2017, we were looking for women who were supporting other women in unique ways. Pineapple DC now Pineapple Collaborative, was a recently formed group of women in the food business in Washington DC.
What started as a potluck gathering in one of the founders’ living rooms became a hub for connecting women who were longing for female camaraderie in the food space.
Co-founder, Atara Bernstein (pictured left), took the train down to Richmond, VA to share what she had learned about building community. What she described was how the folks at Pineapple were using their platform to highlight what women were already doing cool things, calling it “Pine For”.
Momentum grew and they grew with it, expanding their community events to New York, L.A., and other fancy cities. All the while focused on creating community and highlighting women in food.
Adding to their menu in 2019, they launched products produced in small batches, The Olive Oil, The Apple Cider Vinegar, and The Salt. You can order individual items, or put your essentials on a subscription.
We can’t wait to see what they do next.
