Monthly Check-In: 5 Questions To Ask At The Beginning Of Each Month

Set yourself up for a good month with this positive thinking practice.

Sometimes it’s hard to remember what day it is. But instead of letting the calendar fly by, at the beginning of the month, we are taking a pause to reflect and set some intentions.

The goal of this reflection is to spend some time in positive thinking mode. You can train your brain to focus on the positive with regular practice. A monthly check-in is a great time for this. Practicing positive thinking has many benefits similar to a gratitude practice which helps lift our mood, and create a sense of purpose and ease.

Having time to regularly check in each month, helps us stay focused on our goals and spend more time celebrating the small successes.

Here are 5 questions to ask every month.

  1. What went well last month?

  2. What did I learn?

  3. What do I want to stop doing?

  4. What do I want to start doing?

  5. What is my main focus this month?
