Your rule breaker type is…..
revolutionary
If you had your way, you would burn it all down and roast marshmallows over the fire. *hear that sizzle?* In the meantime, you are being the change you want to see in the world while showing the next generation what is possible. You use your voice to call for change, whether that is on a world stage or in your community. You are an innovator, a rule breaker, and don’t need anyone's permission.
Read on for your celeb companions, book recommendations, and more.
more about the revolutionary
task
Lead the way and don’t look back. You may get tired which could lead you to have a temporary waiver in confidence, but what you are doing is important work and there are people out there who want to help you. Don’t be afraid to ask for the support you need, but also know not everyone thinks like you. Use you vision and take them with you.
challenge
It’s exhausting always being on the frontlines of change. You are a problem solver, a visionary, and you must lead the way, even when it feels like no one is listening. Check-in to make sure you aren’t rebelling just to rebel, but that you are really trying to change something in line with your values. You must save your energy for the most important tasks.
self-care
R.E.S.T. (full stop) You may think you don’t have time for it, but girl, you need to take a beat. Take a nap. A weekend away. A complete unplug and reset. Going until you burnout won’t serve anyone. We need you to put yourself before your cause if you are truly going to make a difference.
“The question isn’t who’s going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me.” - Ayn Rand

Janelle Monae
Singer, songwriter, actress, and entertainer, Janell Monae makes no apologies for who she is and inspires others to do the same. “Being a queer black woman in America,” she says, taking a breath as she comes out, “someone who has been in relationships with both men and women – I consider myself to be a free-ass motherfucker.”
chelsea handler
Known as a comedian and writer, Chelsea Handler has never backed down from confrontation. She is now using the thick skin she has developed for real purpose instead of just laughs. "If you want to work at being anti-racist instead of just against racism, you have to kind of stick your neck out and say uncomfortable things." Handler said.
beyonce
Beyonce is a true trailblazer for our generation. When she started in the music business over 20 years ago, she was told it would be hard for her to be on magazine covers because “black people did not sell”. Not only is she on covers, her influence was responsible for her Vogue cover being shot by an African American photographer.
