From Introvert To Influential
How to use your introversion to your advantage (video below)
Many people don’t know the true definition of introvert.
Common personality traits associated with introversion like shyness, being quiet, or reserved, are often discussed as “challenges that introverts must overcome” in order to be successful.
We were happy to dispel this myth!
Not all introverts are quiet and shy, but if you are, that is ok, too.
Facilitator, Jacqueline Shaulis is not only an introvert herself, she studies successful introverts, and dedicates her work to supporting them, specifically BIPOC women introverts.
She shared with us the specifics of what it truly means to be introverted and how to use introversion to our advantage in work and beyond.
What we learned from her during our workshop was:
Introversion is more about how we process information than our personality traits.
WebMD describes it like this, “they feel more comfortable focusing on their inner thoughts and ideas, rather than what's happening externally.”
This means introverts are taking in information all the time and working through it without showing their signs of what is going on.
It also means that introverts can easily be overstimulated, thus needed alone time to process and recharge.
There are many examples of introverts who attribute their success to their introversion.
Jacqueline shared with us exactly how they do that.
By delegating outward facing activities to one’s “empowered alter ego”.
By turning insights into income by adding nuance and depth to your offerings.
By trusting your truth by prioritizing your intuition to empower others.
